Produce of the Month

The produce of the month for November is a fruit that packs a flavor punch. This month’s produce of the month is grapefruit.

Grapefruit is a good source of the water-soluble vitamin called vitamin C. This vitamin helps your immune system to function optimally and is also needed to make the protein collagen. Collagen is needed for strong ligaments and tendons and helps to keep your skin looking youthful.
Grapefruit is delicious to enjoy as a fruit by itself or to add to a fruit salad or as a breakfast idea can be grapefruit with Greek yoghurt, dried fruit like raisins, cashews, pomegranate seeds, pumpkin seeds, and coconut chips. Delicious!
