Having bad breath is not a comfortable situation to be in, especially if you need are around other people. While there is no denying the importance oral hygiene you can also eat your way to a fresher breath.

Bad breath in the morning is usually attributed to opening your mouth during sleep. When you open your mouth, your saliva dries out. Saliva is your body’s major defence again eliminating bacteria in your mouth.

These may help reduce the sulphur content in your gut which can contribute to bad breath.

Vitamin C has many important roles including supporting an optimal immune system function and reduce your risk of developing gum disease. Poor gum health can contribute to bad breath. Some vitamin C rich foods include citrus fruits and red capsicum.
