How many times have you gone to the loaf of bread in the cupboard only to find it has gone stale or mouldy? Food waste is a real problem with approximately 1/3rd of food becoming waste and 30% of cereal products ending up in the trash. This is not only bad news for the health of the planet but also your wallet.

Good news there are strategies you can use to help reduce waste. This includes using frozen vegetables or over fresh. Frozen can have equal if not a higher nutritional content than fresh and can be cheaper as well. To reduce waste in your breads and cereals an idea can be opting to swap out a regular loaf of bread, wrap or pizza base which can easily go to waste with a packet of wholegrain containing Corn Thins slices.

Corn Thins slices can be greater nutritional quality than a regular pizza base as it is a wholegrain and often pizza bases are made using refined grains. Breads which are wholegrain are less easy to find and often most people need to opt for a white, multigrain or wholemeal over wholegrain choice.

Corn Thins slices work perfectly in the lunchbox as a sandwich substitute. My favourite is avocado and tuna Corn Thins sandwich. Try this delicious Peanut & Miso Caramel CORN THINS Sandwich recipe Peanut & Miso Caramel Corn Thins sandwich

Corn Thins slices make perfect single serve pizzas. Having single serve pizza means everyone gets the exact toppings they want on the pizza and can save any arguments at night on what type of pizza to make.

Corn Thins slices make a great substitute for a wrap in a falafel wrap too! Try this recipe Salad and Falafel Mix by Corn Thins. It is a guaranteed winner!  Salad & Falafel with Corn Thins slices

The options and uses of Corn Thins products don’t stop there. Corn Thins have an extensive recipe section on their website for all meals and snacks. Corn Thins products are a must have item in any cupboard!

Take home message: Reducing food waste is possible. Making some simple swaps and additions like a packet of Corn Thins slices in your cupboard may reduce your impact on the planet as well as save you a few more dollars to enjoy on other parts of your life.
