The produce of the month is a less well-known fruit but a must try. The fruit of the month for March is pomegranate. Pomegranate is a beautiful red colour with just as beautiful red edible seeds under the flesh of the skin. Above being a beautiful fruit to look at, pomegranates are rich in health benefits. Including being a good source of fibre to support the health of your gut and to promote a healthy gut microbiome.

Pomegranate is also a good source of manganese which helps to form bone and joint tissue. It is a good source of vitamin C which helps to optimise your immune system function and is also needed to make collagen. Pomegranate is also a good source of folate and thiamine which assists in growth, development and cell functioning. This fruit can also boast being a good source of potassium which helps to promote a healthy blood pressure and a healthy heart.
